Engaging storytelling, creative design and eye-catching photography helped beetroot secure a hat-trick of class wins at the 2018 IoIC Awards.
Pep Talk, our colleague magazine for PepsiCo, picked up the award for Best Design in Print, with judges describing it as a publication that is “confident, bold and knows its audience”.
Concept imagery for a front page and centre spread in Gatwick Airport’s Your Magazine collected the prize for Best Photographic Image.
The feature “My Other Half” was planned and executed by beetroot’s creative team to showcase the camera skills of Greg Iwanski, a member of Gatwick’s operational staff.
This is the second year in a row that beetroot has won this IOIC Award category.
Design, imagery and bold editorial subject matter combined to secure the Best One-Off Feature award for Network, our print and digital hybrid magazine for Network Rail.
“Not Just Bants” told the first-hand story of a female colleague’s experience of workplace harassment.
The strength of Network’s content and design made it a double success for Network Rail’s Simone Corgan, who was named Best Editor.
Colleague-led digital storytelling with emotional impact also secured two awards of excellence for beetroot and Airbus in the UK, while Pep Talk, Network and Your Magazine backed up their wins with excellence awards in other categories.
